Inca skeletons show evidence of Spanish brutality

Well known by now, is the fact that the conquering European explorers were extremely violent in dealing with the people of the new world. The finding of a mass grave of nearly 258 Inca in Peru and dating to the early 16th century however, is unique, because it gives a glimpse into the conquest of the Inca, which is not as written down in as much detail as the conquest of the Aztec, for example. The findings were originally reported in the American Journal of Physical Anthropology, and details some of the damage in the various skeletons due to rather painful deaths.
